Where The Crawdads Sing- my review

Updated: Feb 8, 2022

I listened to this audiobook and I'm so glad I did. It's a lush, gorgeous, heart-breaking story of abandonment and love. The Marsh Girl is very much a feral creature of the marshlands, but you love her. You root for her. Interwoven through this 1950's-70's North Carolina small-town Marsh Girl is a murder mystery. The food! The clothes! The scene with the cat... I just cried :(. Lovely. It's a journey and it is so so beautifully written. The accent and voice of the audiobook narrator was a rich and gorgeous experience.

5 out of 5 stars!
